Whereat. parks and recreation services enhance our quality of life by contributing to a healthy
lifestyle,building self-esteem,teaching life skills,and providing places for enjoyment;
and
W hereas. parks,recreation activities and leisure experiences provide opportunities for young
people to live,grow,and develop into contributing members of society;and
W hereas. the City of Ocoee has,thirteen parks that all offer different scenery,and cotenities tnd
W hereat. thhJ4n Beech Recreation Aquatic Center offers families aplace to cool off and come
together for a day of fun,as well as the availability to host a pool party;anal,
W hereat. parks and recreational leisure experiences also pay dividends to communities by
attracting businesses,jobs and increasing house values;and
Whereas. the City of Ocoee employees and volunteers make vital contributions to our parks and
recreation services with various sports teams and clubs,providing our citizens with a
quality,recreational experience;and
W hereat. parks and recreation agencies touch the lives of individuals,families,groups,and the
entire community in ways which positively impact the social,economic,health and
environmental quality of our community.

month of July 2015 as
Paris and Recreation month
in the City of Ocoee,and urge all citizens to get outside and join family and friends to
enjoy the many different parks our city has to offer.
