KINUTES or THE CITY OF OCOEE CANVASSING BOARD MEETING HELD
NOVEllBER 4, 1992
The meeting of the City of Ocoee Canvassing Board was called to order at
12:05 p.m. in the City Hall conference room for the purpose of certifying and
announcing the results of the 1992 election for Mayor, District No. 1
Commissioner, and District No.3 Commissioner.
PRESEIT: Mayor Dabbs, Commissioner Foster, Commissioner Woodson and City Clerk
Grafton.
City Clerk Grafton presented the tapes from the ballot machines that had been
provided by the elections clerk from each City precinct and briefed the Board
about the new system employed by the County Supervisor of Elections which
automatically counts each vote and prints the results on a tape. The absentee
ballots had been counted in the same manner by the County and the page showing
the results of the machine count were sent by Fax to the City of Ocoee. So there
were no envelopes to be opened, verified, and counted as in the past.
Each board member was provided with a tally sheet to record the results printed
on the tape from each precinct and the absentee report. The numbers were called
out by the board members and then were totaled. Mayor Dabbs abstained from
recording the count for the Mayor's seat as he was a candidate.
