Minutes of the Human Relations Diversity Board
Regular Meeting Held April 6,2017
I:CALL TO ORDER
HRDB meeting was called to order by Chair Crown at 7:07 p.m. in Room 109 at Ocoee City Hall located at 150 North
Lakeshore Drive,Ocoee, Florida.
A. Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Personal Reflection: Officer Scott led the board in the pledge of allegiance
to the U.S. flag;followed by Chair Crown asking that we each take a moment for personal reflection.
B. Roll Call and Determination of Quorum: Secretary Washington preformed roll call and determined that there
was not a quorum(5 of 13). In attendance at the time meeting was called to order and roll call taken were:
Chair Crown, Members Dawkins, Maxwell, Hershaw and Daily. Also present: Ex-Officio Member Joy Wright,and
Director of Support Services Butler. Absent were: Members Calloway, Foster, Briggs, Vines,Anderson-Robinson,
Brown, Hart and Bell.
C. Review of Excused Absences: Members Calloway, Foster, Anderson-Robinson and Hart are excused absences
and Members Briggs,Vines, Brown and Bell are unexcused absences.
D. Review Agenda for Tonight's Meeting: Chair Crown reviewed the agenda for the night.
E. Review of Minutes: None.
II:BUSINESS FOR DISCUSSION
A. Comments from Citizens/Public: None.
B. Budget Report: Ex-Officio Member Wright stated that as of April the board had $15,174.22. HRDB requested
quotes for promotional giveaways.
C. Art Festival: Chair Crown will take the entries for judging.
D. Cemetery: Support Services Director Butler presented the plans and will be getting quotes.
E. Other Business: None.
F. Set Next Agenda: Chair Crown,along with input from the board,set the agenda for the next meeting,which will
be held on May 4, 2017,said Agenda was established as listed below:
