Lunn The Orange County Conservation and Recreational Lands (CARL)
Urh,nink Committee is composed of representatives from Orange County as well as
various municipalities throughout the area. Ocoee was represented by Lisa
Clamen until she left the City last month. The work of the Committee is
heading toward a conclusion in early summer of this year, and it would be
unfortunate if Ocoee lost the chance to be represented during the
concluding months. There are issues that will be presented to the County
Commission that will affect recreation in West Orange County.
I have discussed with Bruce Behrens the opportunity for Ocoee to continue
their representation. In order for that to occur, the City Commission would
need to appoint Bruce as the City's representative. Mayor Dabbs would
then need to send a letter to Chairman Chapin, copied to Kathleen Riggs
who handles Board appointments, recommending Bruce's appointment.
