Subject: Special Meeting--Adoption of the Comprehensive Plan
Changes to the Comprehensive Plan as required by the Department of
Community Affairs' Objections, Recommendations and Comments Report
will be completed and incorporated into the Plan by August 30,
1991. These can then be presented to the Local Planning Agency at
its regularly scheduled meeting on September 10, 1991.
A community meeting can be held on September 9, 1991, to answer any
public questions about the plan and/or ORC Report.
Because of the state required time frame for the City's response,
final adoption by the Commission should also occur in September.
The regularly scheduled September 17, 1991, meeting will have the
FY 92 Budget as the major consideration.
Based upon the importance of both the budget and the comprehensive
plan, staff is requesting that an additional meeting be held in
September. The Community Center is available on September 25,
1991.
Action Requested
Staff requests that ( 1) the schedule for the Comprehensive Plan
September meetings be accepted and (2 ) a date-certain be
established for the necessary Commission Public Hearing.
