wata The City of Ocoee is blessed with a multitude of families — an essential part of the
cultural, social and spiritual fabric of our community; and
VIM, The City of Ocoee Commissioners recognize that strong families are at the center of
communities, that children live better lives when their families are strong,
and that families are strong when they live in communities that connect them
to economic opportunities, social networks, and services; and
WM, The theme for this year's Week of the Family is Practice Kindness! Kindness is
contagious and needs just a small spark to ignite and it spreads quickly; and
wuM, Practicing simple, regular kind acts nurtures empathy, alters behavior, changes a
culture, and transforms lives; and
Vara kind acts don't have to cost a dime, take much time, or require any particular talent;
and
UM. During the week of November 3rd through November 10th 2018, City of Ocoee
residents should take the time to honor the importance of families and
recommit to enhancing and extending the special connections that support
and strengthen them.
