PROCLAMATION
CALL BEFORE YOU DIG MONTH
The Month of April
WHEREAS, each year in Florida, lives are endangered, money and time are
wasted and property is destroyed because people fail to have underground facilities
located before engaging in excavation or demolition; and
WHEREAS, Sunshine State One-Call of Florida, Inc., that serves the State of
Florida, is the one-call agency that notifies participating utility agencies of plans to

WHEREAS, anyone planningtOCfocmyWpeof excavation or demolition should
notify Sunshine State One-Call of Florida, Inc. and if a line must be located, personnel
will be sent to mark the location of the line at no cost to the inquiring party.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, S. SCOTT VANDERGRIFT, Mayor of the City of Ocoee, and
on behalf of the City Commission, do hereby proclaim the month of April, 2005 as
"CALL BEFORE YOU DZG MONTH"
and hereby extend greetings and best wishes to all observing Call Before You Dig
Month, 2005, a promotion to both private residents and contractors statewide to notify
Sunshine State One-Call of Florida, Inc. before engaging in excavation or demolition
operation.
